How to plan your workouts with Claude

Claude already knows a lot about your week: your calendar, your runs, the knee that's been bothering you. Connected to Nobiru, it can turn that into real workouts. You do them with a guided player, and Claude hears how they went. Setting it up takes about five minutes.

What you need

1. Get an invite and sign in

When your invite arrives, open app.nobiru.ch and enter your email. Nobiru sends you a six-digit code; there's no password to remember.

2. Add Nobiru to Claude

  1. In Claude, open Settings → Connectors and choose Add custom connector.
  2. Name it Nobiru and paste this address: https://app.nobiru.ch/mcp
  3. Choose Connect, sign in with your email code and allow access.
  4. In a chat, make sure Nobiru is switched on in the connectors menu.

You can see and revoke the connection at any time in Nobiru under Account → Connected apps. Claude only gets the access you allow.

3. Tell Claude about you

The better Claude knows you, the better the plan. Start with a message like this; Claude stores the answers in your Nobiru profile, so you only say it once:

I want to get more flexible and stronger for running. I have a mat, a strap and a pair of dumbbells. My left knee gets sore on lunges. Sessions should take 20 minutes, three days a week. Save this to my Nobiru profile.

4. Ask for a plan

Ask for a week. Mention what else is going on, or let Claude look at your calendar if you've connected it:

Plan my training for the next 7 days in Nobiru. I run long on Sunday and Thursday is packed with meetings.

Claude searches your exercise library first and only adds new exercises when nothing fits. Every new exercise comes with steps, cues and cautions. The sessions are scheduled in Nobiru, and Claude shows a preview card in the chat.

5. Do the workout

Open Nobiru and press start on today's session. The player counts reps, times holds and rests, tells you when to switch sides and reads the cues aloud, so you can keep your eyes off the screen. If something hurts, press the pain button; if you skip an exercise, say why. This week's workouts also work offline.

6. Give feedback and let Claude adapt

At the end, rate how hard it felt (1–10) and how you feel (1–5), and add a note if you like. After a week, ask for a review:

Review my last week in Nobiru and plan the next one. Go easier where something hurt and step up where it was easy.

Claude reads your completed workouts, skipped exercises and pain reports, avoids loading a sore area, and progresses gradually, about 5–10 % more volume per week.

Questions

Is it safe to let an AI plan my workouts?

Nobiru asks Claude to prefer well-established exercises, to include cautions, and to take pain reports seriously. You see every exercise before you start and can skip anything. Nobiru doesn't diagnose; for repeated or strong pain, see a professional.

What does Claude see?

Your Nobiru profile, exercise library, schedule and workout results, and Garmin recovery data if you connected it. Your data is stored in Switzerland. Revoke access any time under Account → Connected apps.

Does it work with other assistants?

Nobiru is built on MCP, the open standard for connectors, and is tested with Claude first. Tell us which assistant you use when you join the waitlist.
